I am not getting kicked off the web when I recieve a call and I have call waiting.

Well first off I am new here, I just left TechSupportForum as it seems as if no one would answer my questions anymore. So I ended up running into this seemingly large website and thought I would give it a try. Anyways my problem is as you can see from the title is that I am not getting kicked off the web when I am recieving a call and I have callwaiting. Some people usually don't want to be kicked off but I do as I don't really recieve any calls anyways. The only thing I could figure out is to use an initialation string. The two strings I figured out is to have it disconnect on loss of carrier signal which didn't work no matter what value I put in it. And to have the modem speaker kept on and whenever I am connected and wait for a call waiting beep and then disconnect the web. The modem I have currently is a zoom series 0375 after later in the day if I get my hybrid satellite connection up it will be a SW20 satellite modem which uses dial-up to send and I have no clue how to get initialization strings on that thing I would probably have to call skywayusa support to get that straightend up which I highly doubt they would know how. But if anyone knows of anything I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I would just buy one of those caller ID boxes, and hook it up next to your computer. It wouldn't disconnect you when you get an incoming call, but atleast you would know that you are getting one. Then you can just pickup the phone manually.

Have caller ID with that call waiting?

PhoneTray Free - shows caller's number, blocks telemarketers and other unwanted callers - free Caller ID software

Actually, could have swore that one above worked while on dial-up. I've used it before. They have another, but costs.

Here's a list. Search for software at SnapFiles.com

Only problem is that aparently skyway has no v92 numbers and they say they have no clue about the numbers they just pay for them and provide them. Now the caller Id thing might work. I have a phone but it never rings or says someone is calling when I call it with the cellphone. It has caller id on the phone.

Try putting the phone in series with the modem, phone first then modem. If that doesn't work you would need a caller ID box that just does caller ID

I have them plugged in to my surge proctector. Phone line in the phone line port and phone in the out port and the modem in the last out port.
