Please help trying to get my ethernet port to output internet

Ok so I just stumbled on to this site I really hope someone can help.

Ok so all I am trying to do it get xbox live from the wirless connection on my laptop (ie using an ethernet cord from my laptop to my xbox)

I have tried to bridge it with a hub but still nothing.

Its like my xbox nor my hub will reconize there is even a cord pluged in ???

If I go to my network connections for some reason I heard your ethernet port should show up the but mine has not. All I have is my laptop and my wireless router.

Please help.. Ill be refreshing this page no stop just waiting.

Thanks so much, Sean

Welcome.

I don't fully understand your problem.....

From what I gather you are wanting to run your xbox 360 online via your laptop.....

Does your laptop show you that thee is a connection between it and the xbox?

What cable are you using?

(Also will add this does not work for every laptop).

what your trying to do is difficult and highly dependent on the type of ethernet conroller your laptop has in it. Rather then go from your laptop to your xbox, why not just run the ethernet cable directly to your router, or buy the wireless ethernet adapter for the xbox?

So you have a laptop between your hub and your xbox? Your post is kind of confusing

Unplug your xbox from your laptop and see if you can still get wirelessly onto the internet. I've tried this before but it didn't work for me, my 360 ended up overriding my laptop's IP so my comp couldn't tell that I wanted to connect wirelessly.
