Wireless PCI problem

Hi, I am currently using a Realtek 8185 802.11 b/g wireless PCI card on XP. I'm running through a belkin54g router. My problem is first off i can only seem to get a solid connection using B mode only, even though the router is G. when i use G mode the wireless will run at mid to low range for about 30 seconds then lose connection, reconnect, and then 30 scnds later lose it and so on and so forth. So when using B mode the connection stays stable but it will only stay stable for about an hour at best then start to lose connection slowly till the connection almost dies out, never dying and then after waiting about 5 mins the conection will slowly return to stable. I can solve the problem by restarting my computer but then the process happens all over again. I have tried moving the card to a different BUS to see if there was something faulty in the pin connections but that didnt help and Ive been through 5 different variations of drivers. Any help would be nice if anyone knows whats going on or a solution... only thing i have come up with is maybe a temperature problem or something, not sure...at this point it could be anything.

edit: btw the power saving feature was turned off the whole time so thats not an issue for those of you who were going to give the obvious answer...

Do you have the latest network card drivers installed?

Do you have the latest firmware installed on the router?
