dropping connections, but I can ping?

Hey folks, perhaps someone has some knowledge on what might be causing my dropped internet browser connecting to my router.

Every day my browser (IE, Firefox) timeout. I have to do a ipconfig /renew although sometimes it comes back on its own. I am able to ping my router (or anything on the net when this occurs, but I can not http to it (so, I can not log in to the router's admin or surf to any website for that matter)....all my http connectivity is done.

I live in a city where I am getting quite a few wireless networks...could that be it? How do I diagnose this?

    thanks!

Can you plug directly into the router to see if this occurs?
