Netgear Adapter Proiblems on XP
I have just inst6alled Win XP Pro SP3 as a dual boot on my win7 Machine.
I had a few problems getting it to recognise my wireless adapter but I have managed to rectify thast problem.
The problem I have now got is that when it notices my router it starts to connect to it ok but then stays on Acquiring Network Address for about 10-15 seconds and then just restarts all over again. I know there isnt a problem with the adapter as I am using it now on my Win7 OS,,,I have given it the correct details for me WEP passcode and setup everything else properly, I have laso tried using the adapters own wireless setup utility but i had even more problems with that.
I hope someone can help me as I really need to use
XP for certain things that I use online which are not very good on Win7.
I hope to hear from someone soon
Many Thanks
Steve

In xp give this a try: WinSock XP Fix download and reviews from SnapFiles
I don't see why you would have to reset the tcp stack, but you never know.
