How to get Firefox to remember sign in details for site
When you first go to a site in Firefox that requires a log in, Firefox will offer to remember them for you. If you say no, it will ask no more. How do you get it to ask that again? I want it to remember a password for a site now.

Clear your cookies and it will ask again next time you login to the site. though you'll need to log in to every site that currently is remembered if there are any. but you should be able to select to remember next time for the site you want now.

I never have Firefox remember my passwords. Just too risky. I use an addon called PWDhash. It's from Stanford University.

Try clearing the Active Login Sessions from the list of items instead of cookies, see if that does it.

Add this addon to Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...-private-data/
There should be a button near the address bar called clear, hit it and clear all data. If the button isn't there then simply right click one of the back or forward buttons and choose customize, then drag the button on top near the address bar.

Thanx Tax, but darn if I didn't upgrade to Firefox 5 and it won't run on that.

Okay, I'm wondering if you can use this addon to override the compatibility. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...lity-reporter/
Install that first then try to install the clear button .

Better yet! I modified the XPI file so that it should install to Firefox 5. Download the zip file, uncompress. Now in Firefox go to file / open file, or press CTRL + O. Navigate to the xpi file you just uncompressed. It should install.

BINGO!! Your da man. Thanx.
At first it wouldn't install then I saw the extension had a 2 after it, so after removing it, it installed. I don't have a button but the right click works good enough and sure is an easy way to get to clear it all. Now it gave me the option of saving the passwords I need. Also wanted this for people at work with several sites we have to use and need a quicker way for passwords. These sites are not high security sites so not a big deal if not the most secure way to save passwords.
Thanx again!
