Have had just about all flavors. Can't really imagine choosing to stay with a dial-up account unless, like the one poster said, the speed increase wouldnt justify the installation costs. (Assuming the costs were in the hundreds of dollars) I suppose if all you do is check email and so forth then there is really no reason to switch. Had DSL for two years, and it was outstanding. Two different providers but same backbone. Cable now and it is faster downstream though I do miss my dsl 256 Upstream for personal webhosting. 128K cap on current cable connection. Dialup is history. Adios
