Hostname resolution with Router+Switch
I have my network set up like this:
Router B --> Router A --> Cable Modem
Router A: wireless router with DHCP enabled
Router B: DHCP disabled, using as a 4 port switch (not using the WAN port)
I've had this set up for a while and everything seemed to work exactly how I wanted it. I have two computers connected to Router B and they all get IPs from Router A, and the gateway for those computers is Router A. So it's just like Router B isn't even there, which is great.
However, I noticed today that if I connect to Router A, hostnames on Router B don't resolve correctly. And my router DHCP table shows that everything looks correct:
IP --> Host Name
192.168.0.100 Desktop-Computer
192.168.0.102 iPhone
192.168.0.103 Other-Computer
192.168.0.105 Laptop-Computer
Desktop-Computer is wired to Router B.
From another connection on Router B:
http:// Desktop-Computer/ works
http:// 192.168.0.100/ works
From another connection on Router A:
http:// Desktop-Computer/ DOESN'T WORK
http:// 192.168.0.100/ works
Is there something I need to do to allow hostname resolution to pass through the switch (RouterA)?

I think the problem is due to some other problem.
I would delete this thread until i figure it out, but I can't figure out how to delete it.
