Connected to network but no internet?

Hi there. Im new to this forum, so please bare with me.... I have just bought a new Dell PC. It is connected wirelessly to the router and I can access other devices on the network, however I cannot access the internet. Other devices on the network can access the internet, inluding the laptop I am on now. Have tried loads of different methods from various forums and no joy thus far. Any suggestions? All assistance greatly appreciated.

Go to run and type in cmd then ipconfig/all and paste the results here. What have you done to try to make the modem see your computer.

Hi there

I cant copy and paste results from PC as on laptop to access internet. I can log into the modem from the pc and the laptop and both list the pc as part of the network. The little wireless icon on the bottom of the screen on the pc shows connected to router and internet access.

I can type out results from ipconfig if this helps?

If you have a thumb drive you can copy and paste to notepad and move that to the thumb drive to plug into the laptop.

Have you checked you nic card setting. I know you just bought it but maybe its on a static private address w/o a dns or gateway.
