Messages disappearing from Outlook 2010 box using IMAP...
I don't know how to explain this but in the past couple months there have been a number of important emails that I have sent and received that have disappeared from my server (I user a webhosting plan of 1and1.com for webmail). I use IMAP and Outlook 2010 and there is no trace of these mails in the inbox or sent folder which is especially strange and there are no filters or rules to move or delete anything.
The strangest part is that these are often from government agencies. Could this have anything to do with it?

Hi, and WELCOME TO TECHIMO - from the Folding@Home Team [#111]...!
Just checking, but do you have multiple mail clients that you check in from, just wondering if one of those is pulling the message and clearing it from the server side...I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...
