    Randomly disconnects from my network.

Ever since I got my laptop back from being fixed, all of a sudden it'll randomly disconnect from my network. I'll check my wireless connections to see whats available and it'll show no connections. I give it a min and all the wireless networks will come back up. I still cant connect to my network then, I have to shut off my wireless and turn it back on for it to connect to my network. Any suggestions?

Hi, and WELCOME TO TECHIMO - from the Folding@Home Team [#111]...!

Have you updated your drivers for the wireless device..? Might be a good place to start..
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...

Yes I have the updated drivers for my router and wireless card. My laptop was fixed for an over heating problem. I still have it under warranty and sent it in.

Oh, just realised that I (and we) had forgotten to ask whether there are any other devices that connect to your WAP.....and whether they have a similar issue or not
    ..

The reason for asking that is that it could be that the WAP itself is playing up - which could result in the issues you've been experiencing.....

possible damage to the NIC circuit from the overheating? How did it act when it was overheating? Did you have problems with web pages not responding, slow to load, etc?

Nope that's the funny part. When it would over heat my laptop would just shut down. My internet and stuff was fine. Ever since I got it back from being fixed it does it all of a sudden out of no where.

All things considered, I believe Redfury hit the nail on the head...

If the unit shut down, how would you know if it didn't suffer from the symptoms you have now? At any rate, I don't think it has to do with the repair shop visit.
