Server cabinet for desktop servers?

Hi

I am looking to put around 7 desktop pc servers into a cabinet as at the moment they are all stood up on the floor.

I have had a look around but can only see just ordinary server cabinets, I could do with one that can have desktop pcs in.

Any ideas if anyone does them?

You can just get a 'normal' rack, put a few shelves in, and then put the computers into it...

That's what we did with one of our customers when they needed to have a PC for their door entry system, just put the PC into the rack on a shelf...just laid it on its side..

thanks for that, had thought about doing it that way if there wasnt a special cabinet for desktops. I'll begin looking into it now.

Years ago a university uses glass front drink coolers, to make a super computer out of desktops.

They has dozens of coolers, and around 100 computers, with the coolers running to keep it all cool.

But racks are what I've always seen, and I used to work for a company that has probably the biggest network, in the world, in General.

A cabinet will just add to the cooling problem.
