Drivers for Netgear FA311 in Win98

Can someone point me to correct drivers for Netgear FA311 nic? I was given this nic but do not anything except the card. I have looked for drivers and also downloaded drivers from Netgear, but I can't get them to install properly. Is there something tricky about it?

Any help will be appreciated!

Chapmc,

There was a batch of the FA311's that was put out with the wrong PCI ID info loaded in. As a result, they cannot be loaded properly. It sounds like you may have one of these.

Here is the link: FA311 Update

Run the fix and then load the drivers. It should work.

I ran the "diag" program and it says "FA311". I am going to try downloading again.

I downloaded a different set of drivers and followed the instructions and it installed fine. My first drivers were for fa311/fa312 and windows was having trouble finding the files because they were named similar to fa31x??.

Thanks for your help. This forum is great.
