Cable Modem And USB

ok My cable modem is being installed towmarrow morning. (yea) and i was wondering how hard is it to config. for usb. ? usb would be idel for my server so i would have to buy a new NIC. (yes i have no money) its only a 500kbit dl 128orsokbit upload so i don't think USB can slow it down or anything.

simple stuff. plug the modem in. install the drivers. you shouldn't have to configure anything. it should all be automatic

what os are you gonna be running?

now to do internet sharings depends on what os you have

acording to my friend that has the same cable provider but used a ethernet and router combo. they guy who installs dosn't know anythign . but i bet if theres a disk i can hit him up for it. and at first its gogin to be on 2k on this computer but after he leaves i'm gogin to set it up on my 2k server and share it and then start blackICE on the server. and hopefull yi'l be set.

oh yeah and usb won't effect the speeds of the connection
