| Cybersitter and network problems
We have a small network where I work. We also have computers for kids that come in to use. The systems the kids use are not really computers more like internet appliances. No HD a stripped down linux install and all they can really use it for is internet access and as a word processor.
I had to prevent the kids from accessing porn. The problem was this machines have no hd and its linux that boots of a cd, so installing cybersitter or something similar would be difficult. No problem I just set up cybersittter on an old machine and a proxy server. Then I made all the Internet appliances to go through the proxy. This solution has workded for some time, but for some reason cybersitter is just letting the kids go anywhere they want. I don't think the problem is cybersitter, because I've tried other software to see if that solve the problem. Any suggestion?
