MS security message question
Our company has a website for employee info and such, it is an HTTPS:// secure site. While moving through the pages, we get "pop-up" messages as below.....
SECURITY INFORMATION
This page contains both secure and non secure items.
Do you want to display the non secure items ?
We forsee our MIS phones ringing off the wall with the employees calling asking about this.
Is there any setting in the browser to change?
I've gone to TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS and clicked all around
looking for anything close to a setting to uncheck. We will post
this so all employees can change this........ or is this just "Nature
of the Beast" for having a secure site???Last edited by ooops; September 9th, 2002 at 09:10 PM.

I would intially think the setting found in IE...
Options|Advanced|Security Warn If changing between Secure and not secure modes
...would have been it.
But I mine is unchecked and I think I get that same message at times (but I'm not sure because I use several different computers).
If that settings doesn't help, it seems like you could out all the items on the website within the secure areas. I would guess you/they link to some images that aren't on secure areas.

Found it......... its in the security tab........ click on INTERNET and then click the 'custom level' button, and about midway down under Miscellaneous find the DISPLAY MIXED CONTENT and enable it ........ by default it "prompts" .
