| User accounts, forbidden internet access?
I recently set up 4 user accounts for my family, i have the administrator account and they have limited accounts. I tried changing their accounts to admins but the internet keeps saying that access is forbiden (error 403)
I'm running windows XP and have Telewest broadband. How do i allow them internet access?
Thx |

How did you "try" changing them to admin?
You might want to go into 'Administrative Tools', 'Computer Management', and then 'Local Users and Groups'. Make sure the users you have changed to admin, actually belong to the group and aren't still stuck as plain 'ol Users.
I don't ever use the 'User Accounts' in 'Control Panel' because it doesn't seem to do what you want it to do. |

It happens with all the sites, but only on the other accounts, they work fine on mine. |

If you have NTFS installed, check the permissions on the IE Directory in Prog Files. That my be it. If not then check their security settings in IE Properties. Reset them to LOW, and see if it works. Also check Privacy, and Content Advisor.

this could be a ICRA problem within IE. Try changing their settings via --> tools --> internet options --> (tab) content. See if the enable button is there. If it is then its some other problem. Try creating another admin account and see if that new admin account is able to browse.
