Avant Browser, I LIKE IT!!
Let's see, it has IE compatibility but works more like Opera. It's free. It's a small download. It borrows the favorites list from IE. It's Avant Browser
Did I mention that it blocks popups??
Oh yeah, it also cleans itself up on exit and uses Google as the default search engine

Yep, back and forward with left and right button combos, plus using middle button to open links in new window.
Also, it has it's own button bar across the bottom for multiple windows, so you're not filling the windows taskbar with buttons. It works kinda like tabbed browsing in Opera. What did a tornado sound like before freight trains were invented?

"...an upgrade for your Internet Explorer"
Hm, a rose by any other name...
I'd say it still has all the security problems of IE.

I'd say samwiches is right - this came from the FAQ..
Is Avant Browser a secure browser?
Yes, Avant Browser is secure. Since it's based on Internet Explorer, Avant Browser is as secure as your Internet Explorer. Avant Browser support all SSL secured websites. Avant Browser's encryption length is same to Internet Explorer's.

Sounds a lot like the old NeoPlanet browser.
Anybody use it still? I gave up on it long ago. It got way to "AOL-ish"

Its good for people that love IE, cause it is basically a skinned and feature added internet explorer.
In bold the very reason I loathe Internet ExploderBrowsing Options: Avant Browser provides options to block download of pictures, videos, sounds and ActiveX components. With these options users can efficiently use their bandwidth and speed up page loading.
Only IE supports ActiveX components so yes it is a skinned IE

Can't you just disable ActiveX in IE? Uh, yeah.

I use custom settings for security, which severely limit Active X, along with a router and ZoneAlarm.
I like the fact that it has IE compatibility, since most webpages are written for it.
Having the ability to block popups built in, along with clearing all the temp and cache files on exit is nice too.
Having the buttons for each window at the bottom of the browser window instead of in the taskbar works very nice when you have multiple apps running along with browsing, easier to tell what's what.
IE is not the evil monster that most people make it out to be. The main problem that it has is the default security settings are too low. This is done so less tech-savvy users won't be bothered by message windows asking permission to run scripts or download fonts
If the program is properly set up, you can run it for years as your default browser with absolutely no problems (like I have been doing until now).
No more resource hungry than any other browser that I've tried, and a whole lot faster loading than many"Gee, instead of just unchecking a box, let's make a resource hungry app that will do that for them . . . they'll never know!"
from the FAQ...
How does Avant Browser improve Internet browsing?
Avant Browser is an Application built with MDI (Multiple-Document-Interface) technology. With MDI technology, fewer system resources are used, web page loading is faster, and all opened pages can be easily controlled at user's pleasure. What did a tornado sound like before freight trains were invented?

Crazy Browser also works with IE, small download, built in pop-up blocker etc. It's free also.

first off, this is great. it fixes alot of IE's major problems while still having the compatibility of IE. i say download it. at least it loads faster than mozilla or netscape. only reason i have netscape is for testing client's web sites and my own.
