FTP help please....

OK, Newbie here with question....I have searched and found a lot of info on dynamic ip's, but can't seem to get this thing working.

I have a dynamic IP cable modem, my ip is reassigned as far as I can tell about every 12 hours, maybe more. I have so far written down about 7 different ip addresses.

I'm running Win 98se with Serv-U 4.1

I got dns names from "No-Ip" and "Dydns". I had the ftp server working for a short time, but then I woule try to access it again, a short time later, even though the ip address had not changed, and couldn't access it.

So, then I read about the third party client for updating change in ip address, so I installed that "Dydns Updater", I cannot get the thing working at all.......

I'm getting frustrated. Any patient people willing to help a guy out..??

If you have a NO-IP url and the updater you should be set. Someone posted a lengthy tutorial here on that I believe. Try hitting the search button and looking around.

Yeah, I can't figure it out..Ive found quite a few threads, but it has semmed to work for everyone by getting the no-ip and updater..was hoping there was someone who could give me a walkthrough of all the settings
