Hosting a FTP server with a dynamic IP...

I'm soon going to be running a FTP server so I can access my files remotely. But My IP address is dynamic. Is there a way to find out what my IP address is remotely?

WEll, I looked into it, cause back in the day,, (2 months ago) I had DSL in Los Angeles and was with earthlink.
but I think you will need to pop about another 15 bucks a month for a Static IP..

This is one free alternative for you. Very nice for people with dynamic addresses.

You can always use a DNS forwarder that uses a "client" to keep track of the current IP.

I have also seen a program you run I think it was called IPPoster that made a small html document and uploaded it to a webserver and then you could visit that address to find out your Ip evertime it changed.
