Ok Im getting somewhat annoyed here. I signed up for E-link over a year ago and I got the 768/128 package from them for 49.95 a month. This was the standard then so I was happy. And Im still happy with the service, I rarely have problems. But I was just recently looking at the E-link DSL website and it says they are offering 1500/128 for 49.95 a month!!! WTF?!?! Why can't I get upgraded? I think I should...I actually haven't tried yet but I think Im entitled to it!!! My friend just signed up and he's paying the same as I am and he is a mile away from my house and he gets the 1500 down speeds...damn! Imma call E-link today and see what they say...hey maybe if Im lucky I'll get an upgrade! How sweet would that be.
OK so I talked to customer service and the guy said that DSL lines should be automatically upgraded and that my computer settings are prolly the culprit. How the hell can my computer settings be that screwed up??? I signed up for 768 down over a year ago and I know they didn't upgrade me at all. I still only get a MAX download of about 83Kbytes (which is about max for 768) and even www.dslreports.com's speedtest util tells me that I have a 700 down. And thats consistent.
But I was gonna talk to the tech guy but the damn wait was over an hour. Screw that...I'll call on a less peak time...like the morning (hopefully). Anyway, I just wanted to gripe. I really don't know how to explain to them the problem. hehe...I want my 1500 down!!!!!!!
