Outlook Deleting E-mails
Anyone else having the same problems as I do with Outlook? I can watch an e-mail come into my Inbox and the notification will even pop up and seconds later the e-mail disappears into cyberspace...when I tell the notification I do want to read the mail (knowing full well that it is not there
) it tells me it has been moved or deleted. I am using Windows NT 2000 Version and Outlook 2000...any help is greatly appreciated

You may want to check your rules list and junk e-mail settings.

You could also be getting a receipt for a sent email. I think by default, Outlook might move or "process" those receipts.
Go to Tools=>Options=>Preferences=>Email Options=>Tracking Options and see what's checked there. You can't fix stupidity.

Sounds like you may want to talk to your server administrator....it may be an account issue that has nothing to do with your PC. (i.e. it's possible to have mail redirect, a spam filter may be in place, etc.)

A few more things...
1. Under tools and then options from the menu bar, go to the 'other' tab and then click the advanced button. Click the Add-in Manager button to see if there are Outlook Add-ins running. Uncheck them one by one and check for a difference with each one. This will allow you to see if one of the Add-ins are causing the problem.
2. Narrow down if the problem is PC related or user account/profile related.
Test for PC related:
On the PC having the problem, logon with a different user account not normally used on that PC and then setup an Outlook profile to access e-mail.
If the same thing still happens then it could be the machine (time to reinstall Office, etc).
If the problem goes away then the problem may be account or profile related.
If not PC related then test for profile vs. mail account
If the person having the problem logs onto another machine and the problem goes away then it would be a profile issue on the original machine (time to delete and recreate a new profile for the person on the original machine).
The problem persists for that person no matter which machine they logon to, then it's time to contact your IT dept again and say, "Look, it happens no matter where they logon, so it must be a mail account problem on the server!"

It's probably highly rated because of the level of violence. The story is decent.
