Automatic Delete
I am using Outlook Express 6. When messages arrive in my inbox I can read them but they are automatically deleted and cannot be found in the deleted items folder. What property feature do I need to change so that messages in the inbox once read are not deleted unless I delete myself?
Thank for your help.

I can't see any thing within options to make it do this. The only thing I can think of is that you have a rule set up to do this. Just got to Tools - Message Rules - Mail and see if there are any rules set up.
Otherwise I'm stumped.

Just a thought - your mail doesn't come from an IMAP folder by any chance, does it?

I am using pop3. I found a solution by going into View-Current View and selecting By Sender .It appeared that Unread messages was selected as the default.
One question ? Is it purely by trial and error that I can master Outlook with a good book(any recommendations).

Ah, your messages were not deleted, just hidden!

Dunno of any good books. Maybe do a google for Outlook Express tips or something and see what you can find. Must be some tutorials on-line somewhere.
Glad you fixed it anyway!
Cheers
