cable modem & AOL conflict

Hi,
I need some tips to help with my cable connection. I'm using Roadrunner and connect to the internet normally with Internet Explorer, but when I open my AOL browser..........it's a mess, doesn't work, error message-----aol detects error with internet connections......no help searching that one either......

All the basic settings are normal,
reinstalled/switched versions/
no conflicts or yellow warnings in DEVICE MANAGER
disabled zone alarm firewalls & anitvirus.....etc

Is there something obvious, that I might be missing.......

thanks for helping

Send a message via AIM to Siliconjunkie
Double check how it wants to connect to AOL, make sure it is set to TCP/IP.

I think the newest version of AOL has an easier setup for broadband users. I know somone who had this problem and reinstalled AOL this week with no issues. But if you just want to check your email, go to aol.com

Ok,
I did reconfigure this using TCP/IP following the aol procedure, set up looks good, but still doesn't work. Just going to double check all these procedures in the aol setup again, and other connection information as well..........

I did see a strange error message "abc sync error" in system information for aol........cannot find anything on it at all.....it has something to do with this.....

thanks for tips,
still trying....
