DSL Modem

where can i find a DSL modem?....I need to get one i dont want to use the one from the company.

First, call their tech support and ask them. They will (probably) be glad to help you.

If they aren't helpful, any good geek in a computer store worth his pocket protector should have the answer for you.

Your ISP's tech support should be willing to help you. By either recommending a model or sending you a different model.

Out of curiosity what model modem did they send you? Why don't you like it?

Unlike cable, with its industry-standard specs (DOCSIS), you can't just go out and buy a DSL modem at Best Buy. Things to consider:

1) What kind of DSL: ADSL, RADSL, SDSL, IDSL, VDSL...?

2) Is the modem you want to get compatible with the DSL company's DSLAM?

3) Will your ISP support modems that they don't provide?

its ok i was asking for my girlfriend she didnt want to use the one the company gave her...she thought she could save some money or something i wasnt exactly clear on what she was asking anyway...so i tried to find one and couldnt...so i figured id ask you guys... at any rate it doesnt matter now shes using the one from the company and it works great thanks anyway...as always you guys were a big help.
