Is this popping up in a p2p program... or is it a windows message.

    Welcome to TechIMO

The more info you tell us the more we can try to help. What OS are you running? Some Basic System Specs (NIC too)? What DSL ISP do you have?

I am running Windows XP Professional. As far as the the network card I am not sure. I know it's some generic card, it may even say Network Card on the box. Another thing is I am using Sprint Fastconnect which uses Earthlink.net for the ISP. Well hope this helps.

Is this when you're using a Peer-2-Peer program (like Kazaa) or just normal Internet usage?

    Same problem

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

I have the same problem with the pop up window saying "p2p Networking" "Can't start server".

I'm sure it's related witk Kazaa, since the problem began after I installed this program recently.

    Thanks for any help!

When this happens can you still use Kazaa?

I couldn't tell. Kazaa is running in the background when I start the computer, but the message keeps popping up even after I close Kazaa.

I think I have gone through this sequence:
    start computer
    pop up alert comes in
    close Kazaa
pop up stays for a while and then stop
start Kazaa, everything works fine (including downloads)

Well - I have run a scan from Symantec - is there anywhere else I can run one from? I also have Zone Alarm installed which does not seem to be helping....

Did you try running the AdAware Program from Download.com? Its a free program that will scan your computer for Spyware and that could be the problem.... Go to: www.download.com and search AdAware.... Thanks

Sorry that I was out for a couple of days... (problems with the router, fixed).

Kazaa remains as a chapter of "Unsolved Mysteries". Now, I noticed that the problem seems to happen while switching between users in WinXP . When I login to my account and stay there, everything is fine.

I'm gonna try the program that imac9556 suggest...

    Regards!

Yeah - my problem occurs because of having 2 users. I have completely uninstalled Kazaa and will possibly download Winmx or Kazaa-lite. I keep trying to download the recommended software - but it is not having it!!
