Any one else find hotmail locks up in IE6 and XP?

Hello there,

Just wondering if anybody else notices the same problem. I have a hotmail account that I seldom use but have been checking it a bit more of late.

The problem is that it keeps locking up if I leave it after 5-10 seconds it is fine. I happens after nearly every button/link I click it is really a pain. Just want to know if it is something my side. Have no noticable problem with any other site.

Yeah had the same. I don't have hotmail myself (I am a satisfied yahoomail user for 6 years now), but my friend does and he logged in at my computer and the XP crashed. It haddend crashed in weeks. I said "it must be you then, XP doesn't crash on me" as a joke. But it was hotmail for sure. Don't know what caused it though.

Been using yahoo for years too but you need other address to keep your main one free of junk.

Bit odd this one esp as xp tries all it can to get you to sign up to pasport and hotmail services when it will not display properly with it

That's an odd one. It works fine on my system with 98SE and IE6.

Work fine here ...win2k. I do find every so often, after logging in, I have to hit home before I can successfully go into my inbox.

[had to retype this post; don't know where the original one went?]

My problem is very similar. When I try to access hotmail on my favorite machine (ie6, hotmail, xp) I get a "the page can not be displayed" error.

I have a test machine with virtually the same setup and have no problems at all with that one.

I got on specicially today to find help eith it. LOL

Any one find the cause/solution for it?

I guess this has something to do with the Passport thing. When you login in XP it logins with the Passport too. Maybe this happens when you are login in hotmail on XP thats logged in with another passport. Just an idea.
