Sorry, I have no idea. I didn't really look into it when we got it, since I was only going to be using it for the summer. And I think it was only a hiccup...I was told that my bot was only gone for a few hours or so. Although this morning I was getting a 4288 ms ping from my server at home! That is insane...I wonder if SBC is having virus problems(dealing with all the traffic), or if it was just a network hiccup. Oh, well, it is up and running now.
EDIT: Oh, and coasters...I am a HUGE coaster fan, too, but after riding all of the ones at Six Flags so many times...well,I just need something new. Did you ride the new Superman? I haven't been on that one yet... |

As far as 6 flags go, I dont visit very much..For somereason i find myself going to orlando universal/islands of adventure.. spiderman 3d ride is awesome.. as far as six flags of georgia... scream machine still is the bomb!
As far as my DSL issue this is what they put out today. I got this email off my air card.
To All Pineland Net Customers:
As all of you are aware we have had a lot of problems with our dialup and DSL service for over a week. Unfortunately we are still working on the problem. We have now, through the process of elimination and use of outside consultants, narrowed the cause down to an ongoing series of vicious and deliberate worm and virus attacks on our network. Thus far we have recognized 4 different strains of viruses. Our technicians have been working, with our consultants, both day and night and throughout the weekend to try and resolve the problems. While we would like to be able to give you a definite time when this will be corrected, we can?t. As of this morning, we think that some of our efforts have made the situation better. We are still receiving huge numbers of attacks trying to reach our routers from the outside world but for now we think we have them blocked so they can?t flood our equipment with service requests that chock the network and bring everything to a standstill.
You can help.
If you don?t have a virus scan software package, get one. If you do have one, make sure it is kept up-to-date. New viruses come out weekly and you must keep your software updated to be effective. Finally, periodically have your software run a scan on all the files on your machine. For a list of the most current viruses, go to http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html . This is also a good place to find a fix for a bug your machine might have contracted.
Please be patient. We are just as frustrated, angry and upset as you are over this situation. Calling our office, to express you anger or frustration with the poor service, only serves to contribute to the overall frustration felt by all involved. Rest assured that we are doing everything humanely possible to fix this very difficult problem.
Thanks you for your patience,
The Management |
