LOL I BUILT my router.. it's running Smoothwall linux and my cable assign dynamic IP's.. IP's that change.... it is NOT static..

Smoothwall uses an HTML page to do everyday maintenance on it. Try this...
On one of your boxes other than the router open a browser and type the address of your router into the address bar (192.168.0.1 is a common one).
Enter your password when prompted, and you should find options for release/renew somewhere in the setup menus.

Yeah I have been using the web controls.. which also allows for direct and secured access to the command line....
And yes I am assignming my computers via DHCP just as shaw(my provider) provides me wil a DHCP assigned IP.... |
