more help with wireless connection

i have one wireless pc downstairs and my one pc upstairs-both XP home, connected to my linksys wireless g router and cable modem. i can go on my wireless pc and get on the internet and it will say connection is very good or excellent all the time. then all the time after about 3-4 minutes the little bubble comes out of my little network icon in my taskbar stating there are one or more available networks, and at this point i lose my connection. i can then get back on usually about 30 seconds later but why is this happenning. is the wireless signal not strong enough (but its saying it's very good or excellent), or is there interference or something. would it have to do with what channel i am using (currently using channel 1 which the linksys guy told me was the best, also used channell 11) do i need a larger antenna? someone help. thanks!

go into the conection properties, under the wireless network tab, click "configure", then go under the "authentification" tab and uncheck "enable 802.1x authentification for this network"

that did it for me...

one or more available networks

sounds like someone near you has a wireless network open too

go into the network settings and you can make it connect only to yours
