Wireless Lan issue
Hey all
I have a laptop running win2pro and I can not get the wireless card to work.. I have tried uninstalling and reinstall even went and re-installed the op sys...
I get this error..
Domain Setting Error
Can not open any adapter
Doamin setting was cancelled
when i go to install the drivers for the WLAN card...
Under the device manager the WLAN card has an ! mark on it and under properties it says Code 10 This device can not start... Under Device usage it is enabled.
any thoughts

um.. this might sounds weird. but did you check your BIOS settings that your PC Card is enabled? I think its called CardBus or something like it...
Because I used to have a PC lappy and when I wanted to use that wireless LAN card for the 1st time, it wouldn't detect it. I checked my BIOS settings and the CardBus was disabled. When i enabled it, it worked perfectly.

Hey,
So this is a WAP card, and this is for a laptop, ok. Is this PCMCIA? If so, many versions of windows prior to XP have had compat. problems. If you are going to solve this, you need to install yupdated drivers, and check the BIOS which you did. If all else fails man, i wouldnt bail on this idea. Since it is a hardware issue, you might also want to check to see if it is in the HCL of Windows. That might also be a problem, could solve much of your question.
Good Luck ey :-D
Cheers,
Dan
