KingLestat,

Have you downloaded Adaware 6? (There is a link for it on the first page). If not, do so then update and run it. A lot of the time this will solve your problem. If it doesn't post back.

You might want to start your own thread instead of piggybacking on this one. Folks will sometimes unsubscribe to a thread when a solution has been found. They just might not know that you are asking for help.

For all those who are infected with about:blank hijack, here is a good news. Those who are using Norton Anti-Virus just update your Antivirus and Scan the computer and the about:blank will not come again. I am Using Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition and when i updated it this week and scanned it caught the about:blank hijacking file. THough i am not sure about which file is it actually. But after scanning there is no sign of about:blank. I was suffering from this problem since a month and there is no program left which i have not tried to get rid of it but every time it used to come back. Finally the problem is solved. Please pass this message on to your friends also.
