How's This Setup?
Howdy.

I'm wondering what the more network saavy folk think of this setup... I have a three-system network consisting of two "client" machines and a network/proxy server. (See attached for diagram)
How good is it security-wise?

Good. A proxy generally only allows a few specified protocols outbound, they often have the ability to do user authentication, and many have a cache. These abilities are more than most SOHO routers. The downside is that many net applications will not function properly with a proxy. Although this seems to be continually improving.Originally posted by brandon184
