I think I have it covered now I updated the some important firmware on my router, and I think that took care over everything.
I run adaware and spybot search and destroy often....I virus check often... and nobody lives directly next to me... and the signal is not encrypted...maybe I should run netstumbler or something to check to make sure nobody is using it.
Check your wireless security. Also make sure you run both comptuers with adware and spyware removers.
It could be a virus..... what is your bandwidth?
Is your wireless secured? Are you sure that you are not providing internet to the neighborhood as well?
My dad and I both share the same internet along with a server. We have a T1 speed cable connection from Brighthouse. He does basic internet surfing and the server is used for a website (not high traffic) and I just use basic web surfing and AIM. Whenever my dad and I are on simaultaniusly along with the server my internet kinda lags for about a minute or two on AIM and the internet is slow to bring up web pages. I use a wireless router to broadcast the signal to me by the way and everything on the network has a static IP address. I know we have enough bandwidth to cover basic web surfing.
Does anyone know why my connection lags so much?
Here's a good cold- or hot-weather soup that uses only ingredients you probably already have: Canned tomatoes, canned garbanzos (chickpeas), canned chicken stock, olive oil, garlic, dried rosemary...
