Jeeez you guys, come on whats wrong with you, I mean sheeesh you guys are awfully slow at responding, nobody answered with in 2 minutes of the first post, so you made the guy have to repost a 2nd time... Damn, can't get any decent help anymore these days

seriously, post & be PATIENT, its not like Scott or Rob have some sort of 24/7 TechIMO Sweatshop in their basement where they hold people at gunpoint to get answers to questions posted on the site, in real time the instant they're posted...

people need to learn that these forums are not like an Instant Messenger service, posts & threads will get answered when their answered. just have a bit of patience...

on to help now, as Solo asked, whats your system configuration or Specifications...

also make sure all your Driver software is updated to latest versions, make sure DirectX is updated to latest as well.

Call of Duty World at War ain't that good by campaign mode then COD4. But I'm playing the online beta and currently at rank 57. Which ain't that bad....so yeah...if you wanna play by onlinel, get the game. You wanna play the storyline only...I'd say a past for this one.

Well, yes in some senses. No in others.
It depends on what your budget is, and what kind of setup your working with already.
If you have a intel board already, then I'd say its the way to go. If you have a Nvidia board, then I'd stick with SLI.
Still my biggest complaint about ATI is their drivers. Some have problems, some don't.

i played it. As other people said it was like a mod. But hey, look on the bright side, at least treyarch didn't totally screw it up.

ahhh, maybe thats what it was, all I remembered was it was a 78xx/79xx series model card...

just looked, $70 is a bit more than I can afford right now for Merv's card... though the 8600GT he has isn't a bad deal, $40...

looking up bench's for your card though, stock speeds, my HD2600 Pro should waste it... especially with 512MB of Memory on my card...

could of been I was running the COD server with the CPU & GPU clients for F@H still running in background LOL

anyways, will look around see if I can find a good deal on a 8600GTS or something... maybe a 9500GT...

just wish my mobo was crossfire, could pick up a 2nd 2600 Pro for cheap & CF the cards... (potentially doubling the GPU clients output too )

I got the 7800gt. Never had a 7950. However, I believe Merteck did over at RR. That same thread I posted earlier. I can ask him real quick.

    EDIT:
    He not responding..

    nevermind, figured it out

that 7950GT of your still up for sale?

HD2600 Pro seems to choke a bit even with the demo... everything turned down or off at 1024x768 & chokes/hiccups a bit.

Bro's coming home on leave in a week or two & figured would be nice to play some COD WAW online with him...

option 1: buy new PSU chuck in 320MB 8800GTS, only to have to take it out again anyways...

option 2: throw in something lesser than the 8800 but better than the HD2600 pro that the PSU should be able to handle (450W, 16-17A on 12V)

unless he'll have money to grab a 9600 or better card when he's home, his 550W PSU has 25A on +12V

anyways, needing better card to run the demo/beta better.

yeah, but doesn't it default to show up on internet too? most games you can set up an internet or LAN server... the way I understand your post, it sets up a server & people from Internet or LAN can join? is that the case?

I'm thinking later down the road when the game is out, whether the beta will still work, at least it would work on the LAN... or for a Hamachi VPN LAN server with friends, assuming they grabbed Beta keys as well (I grabbed 2 Beta keys, logging in with 2 of my 4 email address's )

Yes. you simply "create a game" and start that. Everybody on the network with COD will see the game. It's really simple, I do that every now and then with the g/f.

unfortunately for me, I haven't yet LOL, been waiting to see if I'll find COD4 on the clearance end caps

one thing thats got me wondering is with this Multiplayer Beta... when HOSTING a server, as far as I can tell you can only host one on the internet, no LAN, but when you go to join one, it gives an option to search for LAN servers, LOL, So WTF is the deal with that (besides it being beta?), IS there a way to host a LAN server?

Exactly my thoughts. They shouldn't even be charging people for this if they already bought cod 4.
