router password

if you lost your password, you'll have to press the reset button on the router. then the account ID is the default which is, username: admin, password: password. =) hope this helps.

No he can not see the traffic through the router, the only way he would be able to do this is by placing a hub between you and the router and running wireshark (which I doubt he does) so you should be safe. As for the password there is no way to crack it without resetting it and changing it

yeah on most netgear routers there is a reset button located on the back panel where all you network interfaces are use a ballpoint pen to push it in when powered up keep it pushed in untill all the lights start flashing as if powered up for the first time and hey presto one reset netgear router, (ive done it loads, will only use netgear) then your default username is ADMIN and default password is PASSWORD

Do a search on that model. There may be a reset option.

It varies from router to router. You need to download the manual to find out.

I called up verizon and wasted 15minutes of my time and my moms cell phone minutes to tell me the username i already no... and he didn't even know the password

try ADMIN after doing a restart to factory defaults.

Or you can call your service provider if that router is purchased/rented through them.

You should be able to download the manual from there. It will tell you where the reset button is located.

You can't recover your forgotten password. You can only reset the router to its factory default setting by pressing the reset on the back. Instructions for resetting the router & the factory user name / password are located in the manual.

Which router do you have?
