Issue Renewing IP Address

My laptop has been working fine and then all of a sudden stopped working. The wireless connection says Excellent but Limited or No Connectivity and I am unable to connect to the internet. I click Repair and it comes up saying Unable to Renew IP Address. Contact Network Administrator. I'm using my neighbors wireless (not stealing, they gave me the password). Should I ask them to reboot their wireless and see if that helps?

Any help would be great!

No, quickoldcar, that was not the problem. I know this because other people in my household could get and use the same internet connection on their computers. It was just mine that could not get the correct IP address.

It's most likely your Internet Service Provider was down and that's why it couldn't connect.

Ok, so, before i could try out your suggestion, my internet mysteriously began to work again, I'm still not sure what the problem was in the first place though. I will post again if it stops again, still a very puzzling problem however.

Try removing the router from the system and plug your PC directly into the modem.

Renewing IP address failed?!

Ok, so, just a heads up, I only know the basics of getting into settings and messing with stuff. I am having a problem with my internet connection. It has been working fine for the last few months, but this morning i started up my computer and opened up world of warcraft and then found out that i was not connected to the internet. I ran a basic repair and it told me that it could not renew the IP address, i figured this was just a little fail with my dino computer, so i tried it again, and again, and again, all with the same results. I have tried restarting my modem/router, and my computer but with no avail. Can someone please help?
