    Some of the other members here are also from Sweden, some of the others can also read Swedish, and many of us have or use translator programs. Then, there's also the web based translators!

    in that situation ipconfig onlty returns that computer's IP address, no the public IP address our your router. My posted link will show the IP address of your computer as seen on the Internet.

    The IP i have testid from a friend is probobly the internal.
    192.168.0.4

    but hov and where can i get the external?

    How are you testing it? Do you have someone on the internet testing it? Make sure they are using the correct IP, the external one not the interal address.

    Server was set up using a RP314 router, but I can't imagine there's a lot of differences.

    The port forwording is alredy dun,
    and the Port is akurut whit that you have wright.

    web server to work at port 80
    the router on the 21

    And the firmware is updates and going.

    But it still dont work.

    That Whatnot i dont know wat it is.
    hope som of you will learn me, if it is inportent for make the server work.

    also check to see if your router has firmware updates. alot of firmware updates fixes issues with forwarding and whatnot

    You will need to use port forwarding, its port 80 on the router for the web server to work and 21 for ftp to work. You can go to the admin page of your router, mine is 192.168.0.1 and set the port forwarding from there.

    Server behind a router!

    Hallo ewery one!

    I want to set up a server, that I can use in my homenetwork.
    but it shall also work from the internet, as a Web and FTP server
    it work in the homnetwor both the Web and the FTP server,
    but not from the internet!!!!

    Hardwheare: Netgear router RP614
    Softwher: Win 2000 server

    Please help me!!!!!!

    I even have a CS-Server on the same mashin thats works.
