Monitor turning off and on
So for the past couple of months my monitor Acer AL2216W has been repeatedly turning off and on, until I would unplug and plug it back in enough that it would work (this took about 10 minutes). If I turned off the monitor for long periods of time, and turned it back on, it would keep turning off and on and off and on. Now it won't even turn on, what happens is that the light on it turns off and on, but not the screen, like it usually does. I REALLY need some help with this, since I don't want to throw that monitor away. My graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT, but I am not sure that has a lot to do with it, I feel like it might be something wrong the the power supply, but I have changed the power cord multiple times. Thank you.

Sounds like the power supply board. With some basic tools and electrical know-how, this part is repairable. Or you could find a local shop that will do the repair. Definitely will cost less than a replacement monitor.

highly unlikely RAM would have any affect on the monitor turning on and off, its a completely separate component and device not connected directly to the Motherboard or RAM, at least that would cause it to turn on & off.
The only thing the PC would do is turn signal on or off to monitor, not turn the monitors power on & off.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
