Me and a friend are trying to work on two twin case mods, both are acrylic cases with different features to make them unique but the same basic back bone.
The problem is building a acrylic base isnt the easiest of things, we have the material we plan to use to start the project, just wondering if there are any websites that give baic info on how to start the project? |

| www.metku.net has some useful information, you might also may want to look at some cases that have been built using acrylic for ideas.
What are you trying to do? If you could sketch out a rough idea in paint or scan a drawing and post it here, we might be able to give you more input on your projects. |

The cleanliness part is a big issue, even with an aluminum case like mine. Be sure to post pics once you have it completed if you do make it.
The nice thing about building your own case is that you can choose not to follow the ATX spec, so if you'd like, put your CD drives on the bottom and the HD's on top. Or keep the normal arrangement, but turn the HD bays on their sides and then add a second one next to it for much more drive space, then have a door in the front so you can slide them in and out. |

I have an Acrylic case... mind you, I know of the people who make them in Western Australia called SunbeamTech. They've made an excellent case, but make sure that when you build the sides, make sure the MoBo isn't attached to the right side of the case?? as once ya want to install another cd rom or hdd, you have to take everything outta the board (PCIs... Graphics...) and hope to friggin god that ya don't have to pull all the cables out of the board too |
