Painting power extension cords

you know those big fat yellow or bright orange power extension cords. Is it possible to change (paint/stain/dye) those cords?

You should be able to dye them with vinyl dye. Haven't tried it myself, but I assume it would work.

Just curious, why do you want to dye the cord? What are you using the cord for? And what color do you want to make it?

its is bright yello and i will be runing inthe corner of a room I want to kinda hide it...

Well, if it's just an extension cord, why not get the color you want? If you go to the local hardware store you may only see heavy gauge extension cords in yellow and orange, but if you look around on the web, you should be able to find heavy guage extension cords in a variety of colors. One place you can try is www.cyberguys.com
