Ammo Lan (w Monitor and Wifi Router)
okie dokie i wanted to have a PC that was really upgradable, all-in-one design, and portable for national Lan parties....so i saw some ammo can PCs and i was hooked. however they wern't exactly what i wanted so i figured i could make it fit my needs rather easily.
with this in mind i started looking in to cases and and one thing led to another and here ya go a ammo lan PC with tons of built in goodies...
here is the components tray with all of the computer and NW switch stuff attached so i can take it out rather easily.

here is the case with its 17" sony LCD monitor extended...

if there are any pics that you guys want of specific things i can snap them and post rather effortlessly so let me know.
this mod is still in progress and there will be many updates in the next week so check here for the full log and ALL updates:

so let me know what you guys think...

well it was almost three weeks of near constant work. i am not exadurating about that because i spent many nights working on that till the next day. my guess would have to be between 250 and 300hrs.

Outrageous, but thats what i love about it. I got plenty of empty ammo cans available to me.
One question, whats the quick specs on that thing, cpu, ram, etc...

well it has this for a comp:
AMD XP 2500+ Barton
1GB DDR333 mem
200GB HDD
Panasonic Slotloading DVD/CDRW drive
ATI Radeon 9600XT
i wanted it to be able to play HL2 when it comes out... and i think that i have done a good job of making sure that was possible. the main reason for its size was i wanted to have a AGP graphics card and not many small form factor motherboards can do that. so i was restricted on the size. it works pretty good though. plays games really well!!

My PS3 is a Netflix streamer at this point. AC3 was a POS, so aside from occasionally updating Dust514 for the hell of it, it gets zero game use. I'm not seeing any compelling reason to upgrade...
