    Heatsink reccomendations

    hey,
im not hugely impressed by the stock h/s temps im getting on my semp 2400. theyre not terrible by any means but im certain theyre are better h/s available. (41c/42 idle - 47c load)

dimensions are a little diffucult on my Mb, ive measure the following dimensions as a MAXIMUM diamater.

    6.7cm height
    8.0cm width

well im pretty sure my h/s is aluminium so obviously copper would be better. but to be honest i just want a h/s that
    1 - fits my mb
    2 - improves my temps.

well thats all i think. what do you guys suggest i get for my h/s

i think your temps are fine and you should save your money for something else. 47 celsius at load with a 20% oc is doing real good imo.

I'd recommend looking for an Thermalright SLK 900A and putting a low profile fan on it.

May I as why you are restricted to 67mm height?

OMG sorry thats a typo! i didnt even realise lol.

    my dimensions should read as:

67mm length from top to bottom (NOT HEIGHT)
80mm width from side to side

sorry not sure what i was thinking there.

maybe ill get some that fit now lol

Newegg does not sell the P00015.

They do sell the P00025 (which I think is a little to big for your purposes), and it got excellent reviews. I'd assume the P00015 would have the same performance...

I think actually i wont bother with a new heatsink. i decided spending say £20+ isnt worth a 10c drop in temps or the hassle of fitting it.
My temps are ok now anyway.
I just have to decide what to buy instead. I might get a webcam not sure
