Project - Gateway 610XL Media Center into Digital Photo Frame - Any Ideas?

Hey guys, I'm a longtime browser, and first time poster. I have looked around different forums including this one, and haven't found anyone that has done this yet. I'm looking for suggestions or resources to point to. Anyone that has owned or knows someone that has owned a Gateway 610 media PC has had its share of problems. Well mine came to the point that I decided to completely disassemble the whole pc and salvage what I could. I am left with a 17" wide screen, that I would luv to turn into a digital photo frame. Here is what it looks like

I have read multiple forums and sites regarding DIY digital picture frames with old laptops. And I'm not opposed to doing that. I would just really like to reuse this nice widescreen.
