Topic: a have this standard pc with 7.36 GB of space but i wont to replace my hard disk it with this laptop i got that ran out of batteries (i have no charger) that has 32.0 GB of space any idea on how to switch hard disk...

the laptop harddisk has a different connection, so you'd need a converter for that.

standard ide is either 40 or 80 pins cable, I think laptop is more like 20 pins.

laptop to desktop converters usually cost less than $10 at some places, no more than $20 though...

something like this is all you need...

Newegg.com - KINAMAX ADP-IDE23 Laptop 2.5" to Desktop 3.5" IDE Hard Drive Adapter Converter - Adapters & Gender Changers

of course you'll need a standard IDE cable to plug that into your motherboard, but thats all you'll need to get it connected...

might be additional issues, incase the laptop ran XP, with Hard drive access Permissions etc etc...
