No I don't think it is a very good deal, but I'm not sure what blu ray burners run for right now.
Andd why are there two types of ram? |

there is conflicting ram from what I can see.
the case is approx $100
Memory (4GB) less than $100
Blue-Ray Burner approx $300
Video Card is approx $500
Nice Sound Blaster X-Fi approx $150
Motherboard and processor can probably be had for around $300
Hard Drive + random fans for case approx $100
At thats a little over half of what the system you are looking to buy would cost

Case = $80 AMIR
Mobo = $150 (140 AMIR)
Cpu = $200
HS/Fan $60
Memory = @ $150 (tops, 1066 is a bit of a waist IMO 800 would cheaper and be fine)
HDD = $175 (for the raptor x)
GPU = $400-450 (AMIR depending on model)
blu-ray = $160
Sound card = $50-100
I get a total of $1475 on the high end, not sure if I missed anything or not, but figure around $1500 add on taxes and everything I'd say $1600-1700 tops so no not worth $2400. Go to Newegg and look up the prices.

Wow, I am glad I asked. You mean I can actually build the same system for half the price? |

Yep...pretty much. If you've never thought of building a system before, that's the reason you would. |
