Cable binding and Heat Gun?

I plan on using this Newegg.com - VIZO VIZO-SCB-GR Cable Binding Kit (UV Green) - Ties & Bundlers
On my new PSU cables along with other various cables. I have used it in the past and remember using a heat gun to seal the ends. I borrowed the heat gun from a friend. I have checked several home improvement stores and they cost 50-60 bucks. The cheapest place I have found is sears.
Black & Decker Heat Gun, Heat Pro - Model C800717 at Sears.com
I am assuming that this is the cheapest that I will find one.

I do not ever see myself using it again and would like to get around purchasing one.

Is there any other method of sealing off the shrink tape?

Harbor Freight FTW!
They have cheap prices on stuff. But I wouldn't expect it to last for too long though. They are cheap for a reason.

Have you thought about a hair dryer. I've heard of people using those before. Also have heard people talk about just using a lighter..but that doesn't seem very safe to me..

I actually tried a hair dryer last time and it did not work too well. Thanks for the like that is definetly cheap.

I also thought about using a lighter but figured that was probably not a very good idea.
