thanks^
on another forum one guy mentioned this about my PSU Quote:
I'll be very glad for you (and possibly perplexed/impressed) if you manage to get that lot running stable.
But if you do... please... don't try to OC anything, mmmkay? That PSU is going to be at its very limit, and FSP-based PSUs don't like being pushed anywhere much...
| is my 500W OCZ StealthXtreme able to handle this Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600@2.4Ghz || SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4850 512MB || CORSAIR 4GBKIT (2X2GB) 800MHZ || WD 640GB Caviar 7200RPM ?? i also wanted to OC is it out of the question in my case? |

No, IMO you have more then enough power for that system. I wouldn't go adding any other GPU's to it, but as far as OCing, I would think you'll be alright. |

Did you reinstall your OS?
Have you updated windows/chipset drivers/GPU drivers/BIOS?
Double check to make sure your RAM is running at the proper speeds/timings/voltage.
Lots of things can lead to a BSOD. What were you doing when it happened? |

yea i bealive it was to do with ram
i found a little solution where you change the settings so the system set's the ram performance..it was using 2046 when i cheked, but when i set it to system settings it restarted and started using 3360 units of ram.
how i know its ok now..because i couldnt turn on after effects - it would give me a BSOD at the loading screen half way now AE loads perfectly and it loads in like 10 sec LOL
i didnt do anything to cause this..i dont think its my actions, cuase the latest on i left far cry 2 in main menu and went to watch 'Last man standing' and came back it was stuck at BSOD
anyway it seems to be ok. thanks again man priciate all your help. allthough im not out yet ill comeback when im ready to OC hahaha :d
cheers |
