It's hard to make sense out of all the ......... but are you saying Intel dual cores have overheating problems??

If so, you should stop posting mis-information. I've owned and used MANY intel dual core chips, and if there is a overheating problem, it's from not mounting the HSF correctly, or bad TIM job.
There was a few early batches of E8400 CO's with bad temp sensors, but the chip still never overheated.
Please inform yourself.

not to mention this thread is old.

Well............yes.
A intel dual core.........desktop processor is hard to keep at optimum operating temp generally.
I find that the laptop versions do not have a problem. But the desktop versions......above 2 Ghz are tough to keep from overheating. A lot of poeple end up putting liquid cooling systems on them or trading them off. That has been my experience.

The next generation.........The core 2 duos have less problems in that area in my opinion.
