Looks like the only 140mm fans that you can use are for the top blow-hole. Cooler Master - Ultimate provider of Computer Chassis | Cooler | Power Supply Quote:
Cooling System:
Front :120mm green LED fan x 1, 1200 rpm, 21 dBA,
Rear : 120mm standard fan x 1, 1200 rpm, 21 dBA,
Top : 120 or 140mm fan x 2 (optional),
Bottom : 120mm fan x 1 (optional),
Left: 120mm standard fan x 1, 1200 rpm, 21 dBA,
Right: one 80x15mm fan (optional)

As been pointed out before, the Cooler Master NV 690 supports only 2x 140mm fans that can be located at the top of the case. The remainder of the fans are all 120mm.

I'm pretty sure the bottom fan hole can support a 140mm fan (or 14cm)
When I had my 120mm fan in the bottom of mine, it had 4 larger screw holes besides the 120mm mounts.
That said, you should just get 120mm fans. There is hardly any difference between the 2. There are far more options in the 120mm field then the 140mm field. And they are cheaper too.
Just my two. |

The regular 690 can support a good number of 140mm and most locations can accept 120s instead. The diagram of the NV version should help. Not sure which are the good 140s., but I think there is at least one version by Yate Loon out there now. The idea is that you can get more air at the same or lower noise by using the 140s.

ok so i wont bother getting 14cm fans so what 12cm fans should i get? i will need 1 for the bottom and 2 for my rad. originally i was planning to have my rad outside of the case but now there is a space available!!
edit
i am planning to have a Black IceŽ GTS-Lite 240 Black radiator (needs 2 fans)
and a Laing DDC1+ Ultra Pump : DDC-PlusT pump.
